CineQ Needs You!
Do you love queer film as much as we do?
Are you looking to get experience working on a festival, as part of a small team?
This year CineQ will launch a two day festival to showcase some of the best underrepresented LGBTQ film both past and present, and we need your help to make this happen.
The festival will take place 22nd-24th March.
CineQ started as a queer community cinema for one reason... Because it needed to exist.
Independent and multiplex cinemas alike were not regularly screening LGBTQ films in the Midlands, and we wanted a way to connect audiences with queer films shown on the big screen.
CineQ puts the focus on new stories, and QTIPOC perspectives, while introducing ‘New Queer Cinema’- a type of queer cinema often overlooked.
We’re currently looking for 13-20 volunteers to work on CineQ Queer Film Festival 2019. No experience is required, but a love of LGBTQIA+ cinema is ideal.
There are four marketing roles available for those with a keen interest in arts marketing:
Responsibilities will include distribution and social media
Marketing volunteers will attend a welcome meeting at the start of March, and volunteer for approximately 3 hours per week until the festival
Marketing volunteers will be required to work for the duration of the festival (22nd - 24th March)
There are ten events roles available
Responsibilities will include box office, dressing spaces, stewarding guests, collecting feedback from audience members and assisting the team with other events based tasks
Event volunteers will attend a welcome meeting in mid-March, and will be required to work for the duration of the festival (22nd - 24th March)
All volunteers will be required to attend a volunteer briefing before you start. The deadline for applications is 1 March 2019
